We are a community of people who
believe God has called us to be the presence of Christ to those who
don’t know Him and pursue Him with those who do.
We
have a deep conviction that we are a part of God’s bigger kingdom,
advancing over one more life, one more family, one more neighborhood,
and ultimately over all of creation when Jesus returns.
We
are grateful to humbly serve, love, and sacrifice as we partner with
God in the journey ahead. We hope you get a chance to come join us as
we walk together in the way and wisdom of Jesus!
At
NorthPoint we think that if you really want to find out what a church
believes, you should look at how they worship, who and how they
sacrificially serve, where they spend their money, what they teach, and
definitely how closely their lives resemble the life of Jesus.
The
Church was never meant just to attract people to a service. Realizing
we a part of a much bigger story that God has been writing from
eternity, our heartbeat is to participate within that story by serving
the community, city, and world where God has placed us.
ACT I
We
believe God started the story by entering into the darkness, chaos, and
world that was without form. With the power of His words, God spoke.
Beauty, life, and creation itself emerged. We were shaped in the very
image of God…completely whole, perfect, powerful, and centered on God.
(Genesis 1-3)
ACT II
When
sin entered the world, the result was brokenness and separation between
humanity and God. There is no longer harmony and wholeness within
ourselves as human beings. Instead there is great tension, separation,
and pain between one another. This is the world we find ourselves in,
one that groans and aches in anguish.
But
God did not abandon the earth He made and loves. It was into this
broken and often chaotic world that God spoke again, not just with
words, but with the Word, who is Jesus. In Jesus we mysteriously find
God in the flesh. He came not just as the King of Israel, but the King
of the whole earth, calling His creation back to Himself. In Jesus’
life, death, and resurrection, we find hope, truth, and salvation for
anyone who will walk after Him. (Genesis 3; Romans 8:20-23)
ACT III
As
God started the story, He will one day have the final word. The Bible
teaches that all of history has its start and finish in God. One day
Jesus is returning to restore and make right everything that is wrong
in our world. We believe that there is a new heaven and a new earth
coming and God will once again dwell with His creation.
God
promises that He is going to finally wipe away every tear, suffering
will be relieved, justice will be served, and love will conquer. It is
with this hopeful expectation of what God is going to do in the future
that we partner with Him here on earth to be His people and presence
until the day He returns as King of the earth. (Revelation 21) |
