Love In Action

It is countercultural in many ways to put others above ourselves or commit to a life of service. We are often more concerned with making sure we have the best of the best or setting ourselves up for comfort and ease. However, this is not the example of the life of Jesus, nor his desire for our lives.

This month we will take a deep dive into the teachings of Jesus and his radical life of service to those around him. In remaining obedient to God the Father, he lays down his own life for us, with no intention of exalting himself. He shows what it means to think of others above ourselves and commit to submitting ourselves to God’s will. We will study what it means to be free in Christ, use our gifts to serve the Church, and why it is a privilege to be God’s servant.
